‘I’d been through a lot, including a relationship breakdown. This sent me into a spiral of drinking. The people I hung around with knew I was in a bad place and took advantage. They pushed drugs and alcohol in front of me. I had my own place but I ended up losing it due to everything that was going on. I moved in with a family member for a while, but that broke down too. I ended up homeless and living on the streets. It was only when someone recommended a local organisation that I managed to get a roof over my head for a short period of time. When I turned 25 I aged out of that service and came to Concrete.
