Honeycomb Group staff plan to leap from a plane this Saturday to raise money for Concrete.
Staff from Honeycomb Group plan to leap from a plane this Saturday to raise money for homelessness charity, Concrete.
3 members of staff are tandem skydiving 10,000 feet to help end homelessness in Staffordshire.
Jumpers Phil Watson, Sarah Forshaw and Jo Simcox, who is raising money for both Concrete, and domestic abuse charity, Glow, know first-hand the incredible support the charity provide as they work at Honeycomb Group, which Concrete is a part of.
“Since working for the Group I’ve seen first hand the important work that Concrete do to end the cycle of homelessness and providing a solid foundation for people in the help, support and guidance they need a critical time” says Customer Services Manager, Jo.
Phil is excited to do his first skydive: ” It’s something that’s been on my bucket list for years and I’m buzzing and privileged that I get the opportunity to do it and raise money for a great cause.”
Fundraising Manager Chrissie Hunter is looking forward to the event: “This is once in a life time experience, and takes a true adventurer at heart to jump out of a plane.
“This is a true reflection of the amazing team we have here, how dedicated we all are not only to the provision of the services, but to ensuring their sustainability, making money to ensure we can continue to help these incredible people.
“I am privileged to work as part of such a wonderful team, and can’t wait to see what crazy things we come up with to do next!”
The tandem skydive is happening on Saturday 29 February at Tilstock in Shropshire, with 11 people in taking part raising money for both charities, Glow and Concrete. You can donate online here justgiving.com/thisisconcrete
